Meet Sunnyland’s Travel Team
Never visited the Sunnyland office? Want to put a face to that voice on the phone? Here’s your chance to meet our fantastic travel specialists and learn a little bit about them.
Born and raised in Colorado, Kimberly is starting her 23nd year as a travel agent and her 12th year “on the bus” with Sunnyland. This marks her first year in the newly minted position of “office manager.” Her parents instilled a love of travel at a very young age, and she feels very blessed to have been able to turn a passion into a career. The U.K., South Africa, and Peru have been some of her favorite destinations. While willing to travel almost anywhere, her next priority is to take her husband to see the Beaches at Normandy. She would love to return to Africa, would you like to join her?
This Missouri native came to Springfield as a student and has never left. After spending 20 years serving Missouri State University as Assistant Director of the Student Union and Director of Student Activities, where she developed her interest in travel, Lou owned and operated a travel company in Branson, worked in sales for hotels, a Branson theatre and a charter transportation company, and spent plus 5 years planning group travel for Great Southern Travel. Having retired twice, Lou is once again back in her prime – planning group motor coach travel throughout 48 States. While she would love to see other parts of the world, Lou is excited to be offering our Sunnyland family the very best experience in stateside leisure travel.
Emily is the voice you most often hear when calling our office. She “keeps us all on track” with her efficiency and expertise in reservations and travel. Emily was raised in Ozark, Missouri and attended culinary and pastry school while competing in cooking competitions across the country. She has even been on a Food Network television show! Bitten by the travel bug after her cooking adventures, Emily traveled the world as a flight attendant for five years. She’s currently attending Missouri State University for hospitality leadership with an emphasis in tourism. With her feet back on the ground, she’s excited to share her love of travel with Sunnyland’s customers.
A Colorado Native, Dawn has been in the travel and tourism industry for over 20 years. In her college years, the “travel bug “ bit and that’s where her love of travel began! She will be joining us “on the bus” and in the office booking travel for our Sunnyland Family. Having traveled to many destinations around the world, some of her favorite destinations are New York, Washington, Greece, and Switzerland. She would love to venture to Thailand with the elephants and Fiji !
