How To Choose The Right Hotel For You…..
At some point in time, almost everyone will have to decide on a hotel. With so many to choose from, how do you know that you are getting the hotel that is right for you? There are a few questions that you need to ask in order to make the right choice: Are you traveling for business or pleasure? How much do you want to spend? What amenities do you want? Here are some suggestions for you.
1. If you are a business traveler, you will probably want to stay at a better known “chain” hotel somewhere near the airport or the area where your business will take place. These hotels are more apt to cater to the business traveler. Many have airport shuttles if you do not plan to rent a car. Most offer a discounted corporate price for business travelers. Most also provide high speed internet access in the guest rooms and many offer a newspaper in the morning as well as breakfast.
2. If you are a leisure traveler, just staying overnight at a hotel enroute to another destination, you might want to check out a hotel near the interstate where you are traveling. Still, I would suggest a “tried and true” chain hotel. They are available in all price ranges and offer pretty standard amenities. There are usually no “surprises”. Again, many of these will offer either a continental or full hot breakfast – which adds an additional value to your stay.
3. If you are traveling with children, you might want to look for a hotel with additional amenities such as a swimming pool or children’s play area. An added breakfast will save you money here as well.
4. For those of you who like to get out there and experience the local flavor, you might want to try out a locally owned hotel or Bed-and-Breakfast. You won’t necessarily have the amenities you would expect in a chain hotel, but many times, the experience makes up for it.
5. Then there are the resorts and hotels in popular vacation spots. The most popular, if you are traveling in the Caribbean or Mexico, are the all-inclusive resorts. These are exactly what they sound like – all meals, drinks & non-motorized watersports are included in the price of the room. If you are traveling in Florida or Hawaii, you might want to try out a Condo. These are great for families and those who just don’t want to have to eat out every night. Condos can range in size from studio to a full-size apartment.
So – there are many choices. Picking a hotel that is right for you, depends on your own personal criteria. Just remember – if you have a problem choosing the right hotel – just give us a call. We will be happy to assist you!!
