Day 1, Saturday, January 26

Today we fly from Springfield, MO to San Francisco, CA. We will overnight at a local hotel and see the Bay Area and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 2, Sunday, January 27

After a morning sight-seeing excursion, we will board our ship, the Grand Princess with a 4:00 pm sailing and dinner on board. (B,D)

Day 3, Monday, Jan 28; Day 4, Tuesday, Jan 29; Day 5, Wednesday, Jan 30; Day 6, Thursday, Jan 31

Relaxing days at sea will allow you plenty of time to indulge in all that the Grand Princess has to offer. The King Kamehameha Festival is celebrated every day. Be sure and check out this attraction while sailing. There will be many Hawaiian themed shows, including live music each night. Enjoy the beautiful blue waters, work on your tan, visit the Vegas-style casino, or just read a book. Relax, you’re on vacation! (B, L, D)

Day 7, Friday, February 1

We arrive in Hilo, Hawaii. Welcome to the Big Island of Hawaii – a paradise of black-sand beaches, tropical rainforest and volcanic mountains. Mauna Loa, the largest mountain on the planet, soars above the black lava fields of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Survey one of Earth’s most active volcanoes from the air! Get an unforgettable vantage point from the safety of a helicopter. Visit a macadamia nut factory. (B, L, D)

Day 8, Saturday, February 2

Hello Honolulu! Head to the Pearl Harbor Museum and the USS Arizona Memorial to pay tribute to our fallen. Maybe you would prefer to take Honolulu by air, and see the fabulous beaches, hover over Diamond Head and view Pearl Harbor by sky. If you are looking for a true Hawaiian experience, sign up for a traditional Luau and show. (B, L, D)

Day 9, Sunday, February 3

We arrive in Kauai! Prepare your eyes for the beauty. Kauai is known as the “Garden Island. “Watch Spouting Horn shoot water 50 feet in the air while emitting a loud groan. It’s just one highlight of Waimea Canyon, hailed by Mark Twain as “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Register to tour a sugar cane plantation, experience a snorkeling adventure, or take a helicopter to view the beauty of this island with it’s magnificent waterfalls. Day 10, Monday, February 4

Today we visit Maui. Whale watching is a favorite of Maui visitors. There’s only one place in the United States where you can take a tour of a producing pineapple plantation – in Maui! Visit a black sand OR black pebble beach. Postcard perfect spots of interest for the photography enthusiasts. Lots to do on this beautiful island. (B, L, D)

Day 11, Tuesday, Feb. 5; Day 12 Wednesday, Feb. 6, Day 13, Thursday, Feb. 7; Day 14, Friday, Feb. 8

As we begin our journey back home, we will have much needed days to relax at sea and reminisce about the beauty you have just experienced. Be sure and visit the spa for a special treat. Throw on your Hawaiian shirt and catch all the shows or an art auction that you missed earlier in our trip. (B, L, D)

Day 15, Friday, February 9

We arrive in Ensenada, Mexico in the afternoon. Ensenada is located 70 miles south of the international border and only a 90-minute drive from San Diego. Visitors are drawn to Ensenada’s warm Mediterranean climate. Experience a local Mariachi band, or visit one of their local wineries to top off your vacation. (B, L, D)

Day 16, Saturday, February 10

Our last day at sea. Be sure and see every inch of this ship. Lots of memories to be made! (B, L, D)

Day 17, Sunday, February 11

Today we return to our home port in San Francisco and board our flight back to Springfield, MO with a suntan and the beautiful memories of our 50th state of the USA! (B)
