Combine the beautiful mountains of Tennessee with the millions of Christmas lights in Pigeon Forge. Tour by candlelight the lovely Biltmore Mansion all decked out in it’s turn of the century Christmas finery. Never to be outdone, visit the awesome Opryland Hotel with its totally fabulous lights, ornaments and Christmas scenes. Throw in some Christmas shows and you have a Christmas tour to remember!

Day 1, Tuesday, December 8

Depart Springfield for Cookeville, Tennessee.

Day 2, Wednesday, December 9

Our travels continue through the lovely foot hills of the Smoky Mountains into Asheville, North Carolina. Take a tour of the historical Grove Park Inn and view the National Gingerbread House Competition Display. This evening we will do a Candlelight Tour of Biltmore Mansion, the colossal 250 room former home of the Vanderbilts, decorated with hundreds of Poinsettias.

Day 3, Thursday, December 10

Today we drive through the Smoky Mountain National Park to the resort towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We take our reserved seats to view “The Miracle”. This evening we enjoy the Smith Family Christmas Show.

Day 4, Friday, December 11

We will have a shopping extravaganza at the Outlet Mall and then you have the afternoon free. The trolley stops in front of the hotel so that you can travel to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg if you choose. We have dinner and a show at the Black Bear Jamboree and then tonight we do the beautiful Trolley Tour of Lights.

Day 5, Saturday, December 12

Before departing Pigeon Forge, we are having breakfast with the Blackwood Brothers with a show to follow. Tonight we have a farewell dinner at the Magnificent Opryland Hotel’s Waters Edge Caf_. We will have time after dinner to check out all of the Arboretums decked out in their fabulous Christmas scenes. It is truly a sight to behold!

Day 6, Sunday, December 13

We return to Springfield full of Christmas Cheer at about 5:30 PM. As everyone says their goodbyes you will hear, Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.
