Tulips, Windmills, Entertainment and just plain fun as we experience Old World Holland without leaving the ground.

Day 1, Wednesday, May 12

Today we travel to LeMars, Iowa.

Day 2, Thursday, May 13

Just a few miles to Orange City where we can tip toe through the tulips – hundreds and hundreds of beautiful tulips – along with all the traditions of Old World Holland. Festivities include music and dancing by children and adults in intricate authentic costumes, two daily parades, and, oh, those Dutch delicacies!! After an included dinner, we return to our hotel.

Day 3, Friday, May 14

We return to the Festival today to do all the things we missed yesterday. You may wish to take a Pedi-ride or ride on a horse drawn street car. Don’t forget to sample those Dutch treats. You can find ethnic foods from spicy local brats to delicious desserts at The StraatMarkt or Poffertjes, tiny pancakes in rum butter at the Little White Store on Central Avenue. “Dutch Puppies” are a popular treat – a waffle on a stick covered in chocolate and whipped cream. We depart the festival mid afternoon and travel the short distance to Omaha for our lodging. We have a Farewell Dinner planned for you tonight with Entertainment!
