New England Fall Foliage & Train Tour

October 2 - 13, 2010

12 Days & 16 Meals

Special Features

Come with us to see Nature’s most colorful show…fall foliage in the White Mountains – and what better way to enjoy it than from our train journey that takes us past some of the finest natural scenery in the East – sheer bluffs, steep ravines, cascading brooks and streams, wide mountain vistas and across the famous Frankenstein Trestle and Willey Brook Bridge, both engineering marvels of the early 20th Century. To top it all is literally to go to the top of it all, as we board our cog railroad to ride to the top of Mt. Washington, the highest point in New England.

An outdoor observation deck 350 feet above the water affords views of the river, gorge and power plants. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore on your own. You can walk to Prospect Point Observation Tower, a 260 foot structure that rises above the cliffs. From here, you can take an elevator down to ride the Maid of the Mist. There are many things within walking distance such as Goat Island, the Casino, or if you wish, you can walk across the bridge into Canada; however, this would require a Passport.
