Come with us for a spectacular two day get-a-way to view the beautiful fall foliage of Arkansas and Oklahoma. On our way home, we will drive through Elk Country to look for Elk.

Helping Create a Complete and Total Tour Experience!

Some of our travel packages include five-star and one-of-a-kind hotels that are part of your whole tour experience. These hotels offer amenities not found elsewhere and help create a lasting memory. These hotels are shown in RED.

Day 1, Saturday, October 23

A leisurely day is in store for us as we travel into Oklahoma to enter the Talimena Scenic By-Way for an awesome fall foliage adventure. We arrive at the Queen Wilhelmina State Park with its magnificent mountaintop setting and spectacular panoramic scenery. Our lodging will be at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, a royal retreat high atop Rich Mountain, Arkansas’ second highest peak. After viewing the trails and overlooks, enjoy a southern style supper and entertainment to complete the day.
LODGING: Queen Wilhelmina Lodge

MEALS: Dinner

Day 2, Sunday, October 24

After a full buffet breakfast at the lodge we continue on the Talimena Trail into the Arkansas’ Ozark Mountains. We travel by Lake Ouachita into Hot Springs for some free time. You may wish to do an optional tour of the Hot Springs Visitor Center and a self-guided tour of the restored Fordyce Bathhouse or take a few minutes to view the Arkansas Walk of Fame with such Arkansas natives as President Clinton, baseball legend Brooks Robinson and General Douglas McArthur. You may wish to just check out the shops but whatever you decide just be sure and be ready for our farewell lunch right in the center of downtown Hot Springs. After lunch, we head north and our return trip will be on the Arkansas Scenic Highway 7 for some breathtaking views. We will stop at the Hilary Jones Wildlife Museum and then do a driving tour through Elk country to look for Elk before continuing on to Springfield to end a most delightful Fall Foliage Tour right here in our own back yard.
