2011 Great Northwest and Alaska Cruise Tour
| What does my tour cost include? | We're proud to say that our packages are close to all inclusive. In fact, we provide just about everything except a few meals, but still a lot of meals. Your tour includes deluxe transportation, quality accommodations, tour and entry fees, guide services, meals as specified, gratuities as specified in our General Policies, and the handling of one large piece of luggage per person. |
| What else will I have to pay for? | Just the meals that aren't included in the itinerary. You are also responsible for any valet and laundry services, phone calls, room service, and items of a personal nature. Also, gifts and souvenirs are not included in your package price. |
| How do I know which meals are included? | Our itineraries specify the meals provided. Sunnyland will not let you go hungry on our trips and we're proud to provide good meals. While we may stop at fast food places for breaks, we always stop at full-service, sit-down restaurants for lunch and dinner. And, for the few meals not included in the package, we make sure a good selection of restaurants are in or near our hotel. |
| What kind of hotels do we stay in? | The choice of hotels is a combination of providing the best value with the ultimate travel experience. Some of our travel packages include hotels that are part of the whole experience and are one-of-a-kind (these hotels are highlighted in the itinerary). Hotels which serve as a "stay-over" en route to our final destination are typically national chains like Hampton Inns, Drury Inns, and Marriott Fairfield Hotels. Lodging should always be safe, clean, and comfortable and we choose hotels that meet that criteria. |
| How often do you stop on your motor coach tours? | Travel days include stops every two- to three-hours. Lunch breaks run one hour while morning and afternoon breaks last about 30-minutes. Even though time spent on the motor coach is minimal once we reach our final destination, you are more than welcome to have personal snacks and non-alcoholic beverages with you. |
| I don't have a travel partner, will you help me find a roommate? | While Sunnyland Tours will help you find a roommate we do not automatically assign you one. Our policy is to provide a safe, fun, and easy travel experience and the right roommate can make all the difference. We'll match you with a roommate based on information you provide. We also suggest prospective roommates talk over the phone or have one-on-one meetings. Once both parties tell us they accept their roommate we make the necessary arrangements. |
| Can I bring a carry-on bag? | Yes. Because your main luggage is stowed in a secure place, we suggest you bring a carry-on bag that contains medications, toiletries, cosmetics, and other items of a personal nature. You should also carry your travel documents, identification, and emergency contact information with you at all times. |
| Do I need a passport if I'm going outside the United States? | Yes. Even if you're going to Canada or Mexico. As of this printing, anyone traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, or abroad are required to have a USA Passport. Accordingly, Sunnyland Tours adopted a policy that anyone traveling outside the United States on or after January 1, 2008 must have a passport. Applications can be found at your local post office or on-line at http://travel.state.gov/passport. The State Department requires a valid birth certificate and two current photographs that meet their requirements to obtain a passport. Expedited processing is available at additional costs. Passports are good for 10-years and typically take six to eight weeks to process. Also, most countries require that your passport be valid at least six months after the date of entry into their country. |
| Do I need any other documents? | We recommend that you have a picture ID (required by airlines), your private insurance or Medicare information, and emergency contact information in your carry-on bag at all times. |
| What if I need a Travel Visa? | Sunnyland Tours will assist you in obtaining a travel visa if required by your travel package. |
| Should I bring my medications with me? | Yes. Medications should be in your carry-on luggage and be in the original containers from the pharmacy. |
| What if I become ill or have an accident while on the tour? | Should sickness or accident occur en route, Sunnyland will see that you get proper care at a medical facility. Should a physician advise you to be retained by a medical facility, we will notify your emergency contact. Sunnyland is not responsible for your transportation home. Should you refuse medical attention for your conditions, Sunnyland is absolved of any responsibility relating to these conditions. |
| Do you need my medical information? | Yes. Prior to your trip, you will be asked to complete a confidential Medical Information form. This form outlines any medications or medical conditions that you may have and will be given to a doctor or authorized medical facility should the need arise. The information is held in strictest confidence and is destroyed once your tour is complete. Upon request, we will return the form to you at the end of the tour. |
| What about departures? | Each tour contains its own scheduled departure location(s) and time(s). If a tour is passing through or very near your home location, on both the departure and the return, we are more than happy to arrange a pick-up and drop-off spot for you. |
