Day 1, Wednesday, December 5, 2012
Depart Springfield, Missouri for Omaha, Nebraska. After arriving in Omaha and checking into our comfortable hotel, we travel to Germany to experience a traditional German dinner while being entertained by a German Men’s Choir and dancers. Shop at the German Holiday market for traditional breads and German ornaments. We end the evening with singing Silent Night.

Day 2, Thursday, December 6, 2012
This morning we visit Lauritzen Botanical gardens for their annual display of over 7,000 poinsettias. Then we’re off to Union Station and The Durham Museum for the Holiday Ethnic Trees and Smithsonian traveling exhibit. A nice Czech lunch and dessert wait us afterwards. This afternoon we travel to Father Flanagan House at Boys Town for traditional Irish decorations. An afternoon break for French desserts and coffee followed by a tour of St John’s Greek Orthodox Church with it’s beautiful Gold Dome and amazing Byzantine artwork. This evening we experience a traditional home cooked Greek dinner along with the choir singing Greek Christmas Carols and entertained by Greek dancers. LODGING: Hampton Inn

Day 3, Friday, December 7, 2012
This morning we start off with breakfast at the hotel and presentation about Ukraine Holidays. Off to Joslyn’s Castle for a tour and a Scottish presentation by the Nebraska Scottish Society. Time for a Spanish Tapas Luncheon. For dessert we will have a delightful experience of Lithuanian torts and coffee at a Lithuanian Bakery. Tonight we are entertained by Mexican Folk Dancers who educate us on Holiday traditions in Mexico before our Mexican buffet.

Day 4, Saturday, December 8, 2012
All good things must come to an end as we departall the countries, meals and entertainment to head back to our little place in this huge world, Springfield Missouri. Of course a Sunnyland Tour wouldn’t be complete without our own traditional Farewell Luncheon. We should be back in Springfield about 4:30 this afternoon with memories of Germany, The Czech Republic, Ireland, France, Greece, Ukraine, Scotland, Spain, Lithuania and Mexico and we never had to leave the United States. We thank you for spending this special adventure with us and all of us at Sunnyland Tours wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
