Day 1, Tuesday, May 28

We begin our journey with a get-acquainted lunch stop in Memphis on our way to Tupelo, MS.  We will arrive in time to tour the Tupelo Automobile Museum, taking us back to the 1800′s with over 150 automobiles to view.  See a Benz from 1886, part of a collection valued over $6 million and including autos owned by celebrities.  The first night is in Tupelo, MS.  (L,D)ElvisPresleyBirthplace

Day 2, Wednesday, May 29

This morning begins at Elvis Presley’s birthplace and park.  You will have time to tour the small house built by Elvis’ father and wander through the museum and gift shop before continuing on to Florida. We will enjoy dinner and an overnight in Tallahassee, Florida’s state capital.  (B,D)

Day 3, Thursday, May 30

Goodwood Museum and Gardens will be our first stop this morning.  Dating from the 1830′s,  this beautiful home and its surroundings include 18 different buildings, including a sunken tennis court, a skating rink, a reflecting pool andside shot of goodwood house many other lovely sites.  Lunch is planned in Jacksonville on the waterfront.  We should arrive mid-afternoon in St. Augustine for the start of a two night stay.  (B,L)

Day 4, Friday, May 31

This morning, our local guide will join us for a tour of St. Augustine.  We will visit the Mission of Nombre de Dios/La Leche Shrine, the most historic and sacred area in St. Augustine and the landing place of the city’s founder.  Next, head to the Fountain of Youth and tour the property, hear the fable of the Fountain, plus Ponce de Leon’s discovery of La Florida, and his encounter with the local Timucuan Indians.  We also tour  Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.  Ponce De Leon Ponce de Leon Statue at GTM - 30 and 8Hotel, the Alcazar Hotel, the old Government House and many more sites.  Afterwards, enjoy the afternoon exploring more of historic St. Augustine and enjoy a mouthwatering dinner and maybe a piece of key lime pie! Day 5, Saturday, June 1

Today, it is off to the beach!  Pensacola is home to soft, powder white sand and we will enjoy two nights right on the beach!  Don’t forget your sunscreen!  (B,L)

Day 6, Sunday, June 2

Immerse yourself in Pensacola history with a local guide this morning.  We will ride down one of America’s “Top 10 Streets” and learn about its folklore.  See where Andrew Jackson conquered Pensacola in 1814 and returned in 1821 to claim it for the US.Pensacola  Lastly, visit the grave of the area’s most notorious madam – it’s suppose to have magical powers!!  Have the option to visit the Naval Aviation Museum for an afternoon of aviation history and a possible glimpse of the Blue Angels or  choose more beach time and fun in the sun at our beach front hotel.  (B,L)

Day 7, Monday, June 3

Today, we say goodbye to the sunny coast of Florida and start our journey back home.  Our overnight will be spent in Ridgeland, Mississippi.  (B,D)

Day 8, Tuesday, June 4

The youthful glow of sun-kissed faces and many memories will accompany us on our way back home to Springfield.  A farewell lunch stop will be in Jonesboro. (B,L)
