Our tour begins with a travel day to Winterset, Iowa and a tour of the Birthplace of John Wayne before arriving in Des Moines, Iowa for a 3 night stay. Unless we are delayed we should arrive in time for complimentary drinks and hot hors’ devours from our hotel.

Day 2, Friday, May 4, 2012
A local guide will escort us on a narrated tour of historic Amana Colonies before an included lunch at the delightful Ox Yoke Inn. Return to Des Moines. Unless we are delayed, we should arrive in time for complimentary drinks and hot hors’ devours at our hotel.

Day 3, Saturday, May 5, 2012
A kaleidoscope of color and old world charm provide unforgettable memories as you experience the Pella Tulip Festival. Costumed guides, parades, street scrubbers, Dutch dancers and Tulips, Tulips everywhere! Visit the 135-foot working Windmill at the entrance to the Historical Village. There will be free time for you to explore the quaint shops and visit the Tulip gardens before departing for our Farewell Dinner at the Machine Shed. Des Moines again tonight.
