Day 1, Monday, November 26

We depart Springfield, MO for our overnight in Waco, Texas.  Today we will enjoy a get acquainted lunch on our way to our hotel.  (L)

Day 2, Tuesday, November 27

This morning we venture out into the Hill Country of Texas.  Our first stop will be for a lunch at the Inwood Winery and Bistro.  Next, we’ll visit Fredericksburg located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country!  Flavored by its German and frontier heritage, the holiday season is a fabulous time to visit its 150 shops, galleries, boutiques and emporiums where shopping remains one of the highlights of the tour; however, you may choose to visit the National Museum of the Pacific War which includes the historic home of Admiral Nimitz.  Later this afternoon we depart for San Antonio and 2 nights at the historic Emily Morgan Hotel.   Tonight, we will have a wonderful Mexican celebration dinner at Mi Tierra.  (B L D)

Day 3, Wednesday, November 28

Today we’ll visit the Tower of Americas and the Institute of Texan Cultures where you can learn about the many cultures in present day Texas and the history of how they migrated to the state.  We will visit “The Market” for some South of the Border shopping.  This evening, be sure and take your Barge Ride on the San Antonio River and enjoy the spectacular light display.  Thousands of lights are placed along the Riverwalk and provide a magical Christmas experience.  (B)

Day 4, Thursday, November 29

Today we continue on to Dallas, Texas for an afternoon of history when we visit and tour the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.  Step back to November 22, 1963,  remember the fateful day that changed the history of our great country, when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.  We will spend the night in Frisco, TX. (B L D)

Day 5, Friday, November 30

Taking with us the beauty of San Antonio and a renewed Christmas Spirit, we leave the Lone Star State and head back to Springfield for an early evening arrival.  (B L)
