We board our coach and make our way to Jackson, Mississippi for our first night’s lodging.

Day 2, Saturday, March 3, 2012
Today we have a lunch and tour of Bellingrath Gardens, the home and gardens of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath, one of the first Coca-Cola bottling magnets. Our tour also includes a river cruise tour on the Sowl River to view wildlife, beautiful plantings and magnificient homes along the river. In the late afternoon we travel the short ride to Pensacola Beach and our lodging for the next two nights.

Day 3, Sunday, March 4, 2012
Today is a free day to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Pensacola Beach known for its sugar textured white sand. The smooth sand makes it ideal for strolling along the beach. Our hotel is near a pier stretching out into the ocean for fishing or simply enjoying the view. The sunsets here are stunning. Shops and Restaurants are nearby. Soak up the sun and enjoy the day.

Day 4, Monday, March 5, 2012
Today we leave behind the beach portion of our journey, but not the ocean part. We arrive in Biloxi for a Shrimping Boat Tour and learn how shrimp is caught, processed and ends up on your dinner plate. Lunch will be served directly on the boat dock as an old fashioned shrimp boil. In the afternoon we will have a guided tour of Biloxi before checking into our hotel with a fun casino to try your luck at winning the “big one.”

Day 5, Tuesday, March 6, 2012
This morning we drive to New Orleans and pick up our local guide for a narrated tour which includes such places as the French Quarter, historic Jackson Square and “Cities of the Dead” Cemetery where the dead are always buried above ground. Our hotel is in the French Quarter and within walking distance to all attractions including Harrahs
Casino, the streetcars or the World War II Museum. After our tour, your afternoon is free to stroll the elegant shops on Royal or take a ride on the Streetcar Named Desire. We have an exciting dinner planned tonight at the New Orleans School of Cooking where we will learn about authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine while enjoying what we’re being taught to cook.

Day 6, Wednesday, March 7, 2012
This morning we will make the short walk to the Court of Two Sisters for Brunch. the Court of Two Sisters is known for its gourmet meals with soups, shrimp creaole omelets, all types of seafood, salads, hot entrees, baked goods, and of course, desserts. You will not leave hungry. This afternoon we begin our journey home and make our way to Grenada, Mississippi and our lodging.

Day 7, Thursday, March 8, 2012
This morning we’re off to Memphis and a visit to Graceland for the Platinum Tour which includes a tour of the mansion, Elvis’ airplanes, automobiles, trophies, special exhibits and fashion exhibits. This afternoon we say good-bye to our southern friends and make our way back to Springfield with an expected arrival time of 6:00 PM.
