Day 1,  Monday, December 3

Our exciting tour starts early this morning as we start off for “Music City, USA”. After traveling across Missouri and Tennessee, we will arrive at our Downtown hotel in the late afternoon. We will have a little bit of time to catch our breath before being treated to a lovely dinner at Cheekwood Estates. This beautiful American Country Estate was built in 1929 as the home of Leslie and Mabel Cheek, the founders of Maxwell House Coffee. It just so happens, we will be staying in the namesake Maxwell House Hotel! (D)

Day 2, Tuesday, December 4

Today we start out with a guided tour of Nashville. We will see music row, stars homes and Nashville’s Parthenon, a full scale replica of the temple in Athens, Greece. After some free time for lunch we will visit the Johnny Cash Museum. This is the only museum officially authorized by the Cash Estate, and it features the largest collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia in the world. We will have dinner in a downtown restaurant and be treated with a private performance by a “mystery” Nashville recording artist.  After dinner, we will go to the historic Ryman Auditorium for the Grandaddy of them all-The Grand Ole Opry! (B,D)

Day 3, Wednesday, December 5

This morning we start out with a visit to the former home of Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel Mansion. This beautiful 33,000 square foot log “cabin” gives you a glimpse of what it is like to live like country royalty. The Mansion has over 20 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, 2 kitchens, an indoor pool and even an indoor shooting range! Hopefully you will work up an appetite, and be ready to enjoy the famous Wild Horse Saloon for lunch. Home of its own TV program on CMT, you can eat and learn the latest line dance all in the same place! After lunch we head over to the Opryland Event Center to view the annual ICE! Exhibit. This walk through attraction features over 2 million pounds of colorful ice sculptures-bring your jacket!  The exhibit is a chilly 9 degrees! After dinner we will enjoy the sounds of Christmas with Vince Gill and Amy Grant as they perform their annual Christmas Show at the Ryman. (B,L,D)

Day 4, Thursday, December 6

It has been a full few days in Nashville and now it is time to turn back toward home. Music will be playing in our heads as we remember great times and revel in the Christmas Spirit! (B)
