Day 1, Friday, June 8

Today is a travel day to Sioux Falls, South Dakota as we begin our journey to America’s foremost National Park, Yellowstone.  We will enjoy a light dinner in our hotel for the group to get acquainted.  (D)

Day 2, Saturday, June 9

Our first stop is at the Mitchell Corn Palace, with its majestic murals made completely out of corn, and then a drive through the awesome Badlands National Park to admire its stark beauty.  We will visit the famous Wall Drug Store before arriving at Keystone, South Dakota. (B, L)

Day 3, Sunday, June 10

Enjoy the famed scenery of the Black Hills, as we visit Mt. Rushmore National Memorial and drive by the Crazy Horse Memorial.  Enjoy lunch and free time in Deadwood, SD, famous for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok at Saloon #10. Our overnight will be in Sheridan, Wyoming. (B)

Day 4, Monday, June 11

We turn west through the Bighorn Mountains and Shell Canyon Falls into the Wild West town of Cody, Wyoming and tour the Buffalo Bill Center of the West before continuing to the Yellowstone National Park. We will be fortunate enough to spend two nights at the popular Canyon Lodge – located in Yellowstone National Park. (B, L)

Day 5, Tuesday, June 12

We include breakfast this morning and then do a driving tour of Yellowstone with a local
guide.  Some of the things we should visit include the Fountain Paint Pots, Geyser Basin and Old Faithful.  We will stop at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and view the magnificent Yellowstone Falls, twice the height of Niagara Falls. We have included a box lunch with this tour.  (B, L)

Day 6, Wednesday, June 13

We depart Yellowstone and do a driving tour to view the 7 Spires of the Grand Tetons.  After many photo stops, the break will be at Jackson Lake Lodge where we will be treated to lunch in the gorgeous Mural Room, followed by free time to explore the natural surroundings.  This afternoon we arrive in Jackson, Wyoming with free time to explore this unique western town. Day 7, Thursday, June 14

We turn our backs on the Grand Tetons and begin our trek toward home.  All of the views are not behind us as scenes of the mighty Rocky Mountains are plentiful as we travel to Cheyenne WY.  (B)

Day 8, Friday, June 15

A travel day takes us to Lincoln, NE for our last night out on this truly delightful tour.  This evening we have a lovely farewell dinner planned for you as our way of saying “Thank You” for traveling with Sunnyland Tours.  (B, D)

Day 9, Saturday, June 16

Our Destination is Springfield, Missouri and we should arrive in mid-afternoon. (B)
