Day 1: Wednesday, December, 29
Today we leave chilly Missouri behind as we wing our way to sunny, Southern California. We will check in to our beautiful hotel in Long Beach, CA. where we spend the rest of the evening enjoying the area.

Day 2: Thursday, December, 30
After a full breakfast in our hotel, we start our tour in grand style. Cross an item off of your bucket list- we get to help decorate a parade float! All work is to be determined by the needs of the float builder at the time of our arrival and may include trimming, cutting, or putting flowers in vials. This 2–3-hour experience will be like no other! Imagine the memories you will create-not to mention the bragging rights! (B)

Day 3: Friday, December, 31
It is New Year’s Eve, and we have a busy day ahead. Today we travel to one of the float barns to see others working (like we did yesterday), and get an early peek at some of the other floats that will be on display during the parade. We also tour the back lot of Paramount Studios to see the magic behind some of today’s most popular movies and television shows. Tonight, we ring in the New Year with a scrumptious, private dinner celebration. We will count down the ball drop on New York time, so we can all get a good night’s sleep before the parade. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Saturday, January, 1
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It is the big day and we will get an early start. Our local hosts have premium access to the parade, which is obvious as we make our way to our reserved grandstand seats. There is so much excitement in the air as we settle in to watch the amazing floats, beautiful equestrian teams and flashy marching bands. It is so much better in person! After the parade we make our way to The Huntington Museum. The impressive artwork and serene gardens are a perfect way to unwind in the afternoon. (B, L)

Day 5: Sunday, January, 2
Today we are treated to the Showcase of Floats, where we have the opportunity to walk along a two mile stretch of parade entries. See the floats up close and have the chance to take fantastic photos. Then off to visit one of the regions oldest and largest producing wineries. Family owned and operated for over 100 years, the San Antonio winery will be our host for a lovely and relaxing lunch. After lunch, we then visit the famed Getty Center. Located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Center is one of two locations of the J. Paul Getty Museum and is well known for its architecture, gardens, and views overlooking Los Angeles. (B, L)

Day 6: Monday, January, 3
We have one last breakfast before leaving our lovely hotel and heading back to the airport to return home. We have made so many wonderful memories, made new friends, and started the New Year in the most amazing way! (B)
